I’ve always believed that being Southern means carrying two things in your back pocket: a soft heart and a steel spine. You open your home, feed people when they show up unannounced, and always mind your manners — but you also know when to stand your ground, call out the nonsense, and protect what matters most.

Somewhere between raising a teenager, keeping a marriage strong, building a career, and navigating the chaos of everyday life, I realized there wasn’t really a space that sounded like me. A space where you could be a little tender, a little salty, and fully yourself — without apology.

That’s why I started Southern & Unbothered.

This isn’t a blog about perfection. Lord knows we’ve all seen enough curated feeds and airbrushed lives. Instead, this is a porch-light kind of place: warm, honest, and a little sassy when it needs to be.
